With the door closed and latched, the handle is in the horizontal position. |

To open the door, simply rotate the handle and pull like any other door. |
 |
To fully dog the door for maximum protection, just rotate the handle to the vertical poistion and all four dogs engage the door frame. The vertical position tells you at a glance that this door is firmly dogged and ready for sea! |
